When Perfect Isn’t Perfect
Perfectionism is often touted as an admirable quality. Not so! The attempt to be perfect is a mirage. It is nothing more than a clever ego tactic designed to keep you separate and ‘not good enough’–the egos’ favorite ploy. One sure method of determining whether your intentions are ego-free is to ask yourself the question, “does this create a win-win situation?” If you’re playing on the level, you are most likely coming from your awakened self.
Coaches Request:I challenge you to do something imperfectly out of your comfort zone. Example: go shopping without your make-up, leave your dishes in the sink overnight or your bed unmade…Notice how you feel, where you feel it and what you are making it mean. Food for awareness. Growth only comes by challenging the limits of your comfort zone. Play with it, be curious and delight in the full expression of your unique self!
